Originally from the Washington DC area, Jim grew up with many musical influences in his life. He learned how to play guitar & bass by 11 years of age…”It made sense for me to play the bass because my 2 older brothers played guitar & drums. Jim played in many bands including an original/cover band called 3DC. Jim says ”we literally conquered the DC music scene back then…we were always getting gigs opening up for great musicians & bands like Steve Marriott (Humble Pie), The Searchers & The Drifters, Jorma Kaukonen (Jefferson Airplane & Hot Tuna), Roy Buchanan, & the great Danny Gatton”. The band went on to play the Virgin Islands for several months and Jim then decided to move up to NY. Jim was an original member of LateNite Audio & played for several years with Misspent Youth. His influences range from John Paul Jones & John Entwistle; to the raucous sound of Flea…He brings the same high energy & dynamics to the stage every time he plays.
